Llandeilo Tops the Times Cool List
Llandeilo, recently described by the Sunday Times as the coolest place to stay in the UK is the base for a third classic Cresswell collection holiday option.
Merlin’s House is our delightful cottage in the market town of llandeilo finished to a very high standard where you can curl up in the large comfy settees and forget the world outside. Just a short walk to some wonderful shops and restaurants or walk through Castle Woods up to Dinefwr Castle or down to the Towy.
From the street you enter the first floor hallway where you can leave your wellies and coats before you enter the spacious and light sitting/dining area. It has a contemporary gas fire, original paintings, big sofas, wonderful pictures, and a large elm dining table if you wish to be sociable or Bang & Olufsen TV (with DVD) if not.
A well designed kitchen with all you need to produce your own culinary delights. Downstairs you’ll find the two bedrooms. A double with a body enveloping ViSpring bed (you just don’t want leave it!). The bathroom has a large walk in shower There is also a twin bedded room. Under floor heating throughout ensures warmth all year round. Linen & towels are of course supplied.
Enjoy the many walks in the Towy Valley, visit The Botanic Gardens of Wales, Aberglassney Gardens, catch that elusive Salmon, go to see the Birds at the National Wetlands Centre, explore the many Welsh Castles including the home of the Welsh Princes……….then back to your “nest” for that well deserved rest
In town the shops include Peppercorn a well established contemporary Kitchen shop (bet you have to come away with something). Toast (I believe it one of the ladies favourites) Fountain Fine Art ( the best contemporary Gallery in Wales) The Antique centre and the list goes on.
Merlin’s House is available at a nightly charge of £125 minimum two nights and £75 per night thereafter.
